Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Party Jar is a party game app made by Swendoz Studio. This page explains what data the app uses and why. The short version: there is no account, your game data stays on your phone, and the ads and the optional purchase are handled by Google and RevenueCat.

01Data that stays on your phone

Player names, player groups, your own word lists, score history, settings and your game night playlist are saved only on your device. We never receive them. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

02Ads (Google AdMob)

If you don’t have Party Jar Plus, the app shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device’s advertising ID, your IP address, an approximate location based on that IP, device and app information, and how you interact with ads.

In the EU, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings, Ad privacy choices. On iPhone you are asked for permission to track. Saying no still shows ads, just less personal ones. You can also reset or remove your advertising ID in your phone’s settings.

03Purchases (Google Play, App Store and RevenueCat)

Party Jar Plus is a one-time purchase made through Google Play or the App Store. We use RevenueCat to check whether you own Plus. For this, RevenueCat receives a random app user ID created on your phone, your purchase history for this app and basic device information. It does not receive your name, email address or payment details. Those stay with Google or Apple.

04What we don’t do

  • No account, sign-in or email collection.
  • No analytics or tracking of our own.
  • We don’t sell your data.

05Children

Party Jar is meant for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.

06Your rights

Because we don’t hold personal data ourselves, most requests go to Google or RevenueCat through the links above. If you want your purchase record at RevenueCat removed, email us and we’ll pass it on. Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR or the Turkish KVKK, you have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to complain to your data protection authority.

07Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
